I’m Still Dancing

Well, I met up with this friend I used to know

He said you don’t hang around those places you used to go

You used to drink and dance and carry on

You loved just getting high from dusk to dawn

He said the fun of life is passing by

I stood there for a minute

Then I gave him this reply

I’m still dancing

But it’s not the same

I’m still drinking

But the fountain has changed

I’m still singing

But I’ve got a new song

I get happy

I still carry on

I’m a really living fine

I used to be dead

But now I’m forgiven

From my toes to my head

I’m not dancing for the devil

Any more

I’m dancing for the Lord

He said you’ve got my curiosity aroused

I’d love to find true happiness

But I don’t know how

I said Jesus died to make your life complete

Then he accepted Christ there on the street

I saw my friend again the other day

I asked how he was doing

I can still hear him say

I’m still dancing

But it’s not the same

I’m still drinking
