It’s Coming Down

About five thousand years ago

Near the banks of Jericho

Israel was ready to break free

With the promise land on the other side

The enemies in the wall did hide

And God said, “This land is yours to keep”

To the city walls they went

The first six days and nights were spent

But on the seventh day they marched seven times around

As the ground did shake

And their hearts did fall

I heard that Joshua called

Look, children, it’s a coming down

If it’s not in the spirit

Then it will have no place to go

If it’s not for His glory

It can’t take the load

Don’t you think for one minute

That sin will still abound

For if it’s not standing on the word

It’s coming down

Not so very long ago

Before Jesus saved my soul

I was surrounded by doubt and defeat

There was a wall of sin built up inside

Full of hurt, deceit, and pride

There’s was no one who could set me free

But when Jesus died at Calvary

He went down to hell for me

And took the keys that had me locked and bound

And as the gates of hell begin to fall

The demons were climbing up the wall

An old saint of God said,

Look, it’s coming down.

If it’s not in the spirit

Then it will have no place to go

If it’s not for His glory

It can’t take the load

Don’t you think for one minute

That sin will still abound

For if it’s not standing on the word

It’s coming down

If it’s not in the spirit

Then it will have no place to go

If it’s not for His glory

It can’t take the load

Don’t you think for one minute

That sin will still abound

For if it’s not standing on the word

It’s coming down

For if it’s not standing on the word

It’s coming down

If it’s not standing on God's word

It’s a coming down

It's a coming down
