There’s An Easter Lily

Mama loved the flowers

I helped her grow each spring

We worked until our hands were sore

She never once complained

As we worked, she told the story

Of a garden far away

Where there blooms an Easter lily

That never will decay

There’s an Easter Lily

Where flowers always bloom

And you can see forever

Inside His empty tomb

There’s an Easter Lily

That never fades away

And we’ll meet Him someday

Beyond the grave

I held on to Mama’s hand

And watched her fade away

As her tired body struggled

She wanted so to stay

But in time we all surrender

And to this hope we cling

That we’ll see the Easter Lily

Where death don’t mean a thing

There’s an Easter Lily

Where flowers always bloom

And you can see forever

Inside His empty tomb

There’s an Easter Lily

That never fades away

And we’ll meet Him someday

Beyond the grave

There’s an Easter Lily
